We take great delight in creating each individual chocolate by hand, using only the very best, traditional methods of chocolate production.
If you’re looking for artisan chocolatiers, you’ve come to the right place. All of our products are made using the highest quality ingredients and our ethos is that there’s no substitute for quality. We are leaders in chocolate innovation and we’re sure you’ll agree. We did invent the original chocolate sprout. (No, we’re not kidding.)
The revolution doesn’t end there. Some of our wholesale clients have provided us with delight by collaborating with us to develop new bespoke flavours and products individually tailored to their clients’ needs.
We are local and proud. Our workshop and café outlet is in the hub of Castle Douglas and a very warm welcome awaits you. Come and feast on one (or all!) of our 65, mouth-watering chocolate flavours, at our chocolate-box chocolate shop, while sipping on our renowned signature hot chocolate drink.

Our lead chocolatier, Gillian Warden has developed and produced several award-winning chocolates and is hungry for more.
With 6 Gold Great Taste Awards and 2 short-listings in the Scottish Food Excellence Awards, the sky’s the limit. After studying at Edinburgh School of Art, Gillian combined her passion for chocolate and design and the result is Inhouse Chocolate’s super-scrumptious selection of chocolate confection.
And every day, we truly adore producing merchandise that never compromises on quality or excellence.

Bean to Chocolate
We only ever use the highest quality chocolate supplied by Callebaut, a Belgian couverture chocolate manufacturer (that's posh for chocolate with a high cocoa butter content!).
The chocolate they supply is made from the finest sustainable cocoa beans of West Africa. After the beans are shipped to Belgium, the experts at the roasters work their magic.
Their blending of beans is what makes the chocolate taste so incredible. Beans from South America and Asia are added to provide a certain fruitiness, acidity and layers of aromatic chocolate heaven!
We take our quality control very seriously an Inhouse, which is why we only ever use the finest ingredients. And luckily for us, taste-testing is just all part of the job!
